London AFROPUNK: Ready, Set, Go!

By  |

When it was announced in the beginning of July that AFROPUNK was coming to London, everyone including the whole team at Pride were ecstatic! However, a few people weren’t too pleased about the line-up, but due the stampede of keyboard warriors and social media fighters the people behind AFROPUNK have listened to the wails of distress! Iconic 80s star, Grace Jones is set to headline and performers such as: Laura Mvula, Kwabs, The Noisettes, Loyle Carner, Goldlink, Joe Kay, The Whooligan, Hannah Faith, Eden Hagos, MNEK, Lady Leshurr, Skinny Girl Diet, Jorja Smith, Big Joanie, Nova Twins, The Connectors, Mikel Ameen will be joining the festival.

This year’s message will be ‘Power to the party’, embracing political awareness and self-empowerment. Eliminating stereotypes, and celebrating uniqueness are key to the AFROPUNK philosophy, and it will continue to uphold it’s ‘safe space / no hate’ zone for creativity!

Join the fun on the 24th of September, Alexandra Palace!
