Jamie Stevens Salon
As I was heading to a big industry hair awards event I thought it was only fitting to have my tresses expertly tamed at X-Factor’s resident hairdresser’s salon – Jamie Stevens. Senior Afro stylist Harry first assessed my hair and created a moisturising treatment packed with protein to strengthen and hydrate each strand. After my hair was blow-dried I opted for super glamorous 1920s Marcel waves to match my LBD and make me feel like a million dollars. My locks were first straightened and curled using heated irons and then allowed to cool. Then using a bristle brush he brushed out the curls and expertly moulded the hair so that it fell in amazing deep waves. He then clipped the hair so that the waves stayed in placed for longer and sprayed with a flexible holding spray. After arriving at the awards venue I applied my red lippie, took out the clips and felt like an A-list celebrity. My red carpet look will go down as one of my top three hairstyles of all time.
