Former Eastenders actress Sian Blake was found buried in the garden with her two children in Kent on Tuesday 5th January after being missing from December 13th. Although a missing person report was filed on that day, the murder squad did not get actively involved in the investigation until 4th January.
Blake, 43, and her two young sons died as a result of head and neck injuries, Scotland Yard says. A statement from Metropolitan Police revealed that there were “Significant attempts” made to hide the bodies.
It has been reported that Sian’s partner Arthur Simpson-Kent had fled to Ghana, 3 days after being questioned by detectives on the 16th December; the search still continues for Arthur.
Blake’s sister Ava broke down and claimed that Sian was planning to end her relationship with Simpson-Kent “a long time ago”.
Questions have been risen to The Metropolitan Police as to why it took so long for it’s murder squad to become involved and they have now referred themselves to the police watchdog, the IPCC.
