So after nearly 4 years of waiting and months of teasing with promotional videos and the release of her album artwork, Rihanna’s eighth studio album ANTI has finally dropped and on behalf of Rihanna, it’s legally free! (I bet no one expected that)
There has been 2 full days of Rihanna drama, all starting with her single release yesterday that had everyone on a high, the reggae inspired track Work – featuring Drake dropped on radio networks and Jay Z’s streaming service Tidal.
The good vibes hit a bad turn as soon after, Rihanna’s full album was “accidentally” leaked on Tidal, although taking it down shortly afterwards, the damage had already been done with people making pirated digital versions of the songs.
Hours later, the 27-year-old announced on her Instagram and Twitter that she would be giving the album away as a gift to her fans, with all 13 songs ready to download through Tidal.
What’s going on here, all her hard work to receive absolutely no profit?
The album is available to stream for a week on Tidal, with free copies available for only 24 hours in a deal with Samsung. You better get it fast, as Friday it will be full price, although it will include 3 bonus tracks.
