Kush Films presents a new British romantic drama film called Hard Time Bus which challenges the commitments of love and relationships. The film stars a predominately black cast such as award winning actor Neil Reidman (Doctor Who), Roger Griffiths and Naomi Ryan (Coronation Street).
The film is written and directed by Dean Charles, marking his debut feature-length film which has given him much early success as Hard Time Bus won ‘Best Feature’ at the 13th annual Hollywood Black Film Festival and went on to win Best Festival Film at the MSVSA’s (Movie Video Screen Awards).
Dean Charles states that he “wanted to create a film with a predominantly black cast that told a universal story that everyone could relate to” as this currently seems quite alien. He adds “We need to take full ownership of our stories and more importantly, how we are portrayed on screen.”
The event will be taking place on Thursday 17th March from 7:30pm – 11.00pm including networking, Dj’s, Q&A and a panel discussion with guests Kojo (comedian), Neil Reidman (Lead Actor) and Owen Mowatt (HTB screenwriter).
