So, unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of days, you may have heard the news that everybody’s favourite R&B diva is (finally) pregnant! The 29 year old singer let the world in on her happy news this past Sunday at MTV’s annual Video Music Awards ceremony in Hollywood. Teasing reporters on the red carpet when asked about her performance later that night she confessed to have “a little surprise.”
Clad in high waisted black trousers, a sequinned purple blazer and high heels, Beyonce strutted around the stage and sang her heart out with the audience unaware of what she had in store for them. Immediately after her performance the ‘Best Thing I Never Had’ singer opened up her blazer to reveal her baby bump as rapper husband Jay-Z grinned from ear to ear in the audience. The couple who a notorious for being media shy when it come to their personal lives, couldn’t help but share their happiness with the world. A friend of Jay’s, mogul Russell Simmons said the rapper was “ecstatic” about his wife’s pregnancy and wanted to become a father “for a long time.”
