This week marks the official release of the British rapper Sway’s new single “Still Speedin”. Pride Magazine caught up with the rapper to get the inside scoop on the track. Here’s what he had to say:
The track is called “Still Speedin” and the reason that I did this particular single is because it defines exactly who I am and what I’m about. I did a record called “Up Your Speed” back in the day and I felt like that really showed that I was not only proud to be British but of my African heritage too. I’ve worked with so many people –Kaiser Chiefs, Lupe Fiasco, Akon – and I feel that those affiliations meant that who I was got lost in the mix. With this track I wanted to get back to my roots and galvanise my fan base and I feel like this single does that.
