Don’t get too excited just yet, but Rihanna is rumoured to be in talks with Simon Cowell about becoming a judge on the next series of the American X Factor. The judging panel has been looking a little empty since both Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger were dropped by the show after only one season following lacklustre ratings.
Rumour has it that Britney Spears was also approached about taking on a judging role, but has decided to decline the opportunity. Could RiRi save the show by taking up a place on the panel? The California King Bed singer has already appeared on the X Factor as a guest mentor, and caused controversy back in 2011 with a raunchy performance on the UK version of the programme. However, her presence as a full-time judge would no doubt significantly boost audience figures for the coming series – as we’re sure Cowell himself is well aware.
