Rapper Kanye West got tongues wagging again yesterday when he made reference to a new track “Perfect B*itch” and shared with the world that it was about his current girlfriend, reality TV star Kim Kardashian. West, who has not made too many public statements regarding his relationship about his new girlfriend, tweeted “I wrote the song Perfect B*tch about Kim”.
While many women might find such a statement degrading and quite offensive, some may argue that this is a Hip-Hop declaration of love. During a New York DJ set, Kanye explained that the track was about him searching for the perfect woman, and essentially, finding her. Oh, the ways to speculate: is it a dig at Kanye’s ex-girlfiend Amber Rose? An ode to Kim? Or a sign that Kanye does not have much respect for women?
Kanye’s BFF, fellow rapper Jay-Z famously denounced the use of the word after the birth of his daughter Blue Ivy Carter but it seems has sometime collaborator hasn’t joined him in this endeavour. We will reserve judgement until we hear the son and Kanye’s much anticipated new album. Ultimately though, it’s Kim’s opinion that matters most. Maybe she will feature in the video…
