February’s Me and My Career features mother and daughter team Pauline and Krystle Downie who took a chance on appearing on game show The Million Pound Drop and won £25,000 to kick start their unique business idea It’s My Magazine.
“Krystle and I saw a gap in the market,” says Pauline. ” We felt that traditional wedding albums only told 50% of the story. We also felt that the addition of well written editorial meant that no memory would be forgotten. Albums can often be quite cheesy just centered on the bride and groom smiling adoringly at each other, which often contrasts with the couple’s actually personalities, but we wanted to preserve a slice of time, capturing the family, the architecture, the sumptuous catering, all the things that are planned so meticulously but often forgotten.
This was how It’s My Magazine was born. It’s My Magazine is a personalised album for any event presented in the style of a luxury magazine.”
