For decades. celebrities have stripped off to make it clear to the world that they would, “rather go naked than wear fur” and that’s exactly what former X-Factor sensation Alexandra Burke has just done. The singer has chosen to wear nothing but her birthday suit in a support of a new anti-cruelty campaign by animal rights organisation PETA.
The classic black and white shot, which sees the star gazing seductively into the camera lens, wasn’t a walk in the park for the 25-year-old. Alexandra admitted that she was slightly nervous about posing naked initially, but after hearing the process by which animal fur was obtained, she was more than ready to go ‘Full Monty’ for the cause. Among the other celebrities supporting the cause was 17-year-old soul star Dionne Bromfield, who opted instead to keep her clothes on and demand respect for the cause.
