The coroner in the case of Amy Winehouse’s death has ruled a verdict of misadventure, saying that her death was a result of her being more than five times above the drink drive limit.
St Pancras Coroners Court heard that three empty vodka bottles were found at her flat and the coroner Suzanne Greenway said the “unintended consequence” of Winehouse drinking so much alcohol was her “sudden and unexpected death”.
The examination done by a pathologist found that Amys vital organs had been in good health but she had a dangerous amount of alcohol in her system which could have stopped her breathing and sent her into a coma and then her subsequent death.
