Revlon’s Artistic Director Gucci Westman talks orange tinted lips.
The darker the skin the more vibrant and gorgeous bold lip colours look.
This look always a hit with no risk of looking boring. Coral or orange lips give a real sense of contrast, and is very complimentary on bronze skin. It gives a feeling of refined beauty, and works well on its own or for more strength with a gun-metal grey eye.
The easiest way to apply lipstick is from the bullet when applying on yourself.
Start in the middle of the bottom lip and work your way out to the corners, doing the same on the upper lip. Clean up the shape with Revlon’s PhotoReady Concealer on a foundation brush to lift up the corners, so they don’t droop down. You can create a nice smiley shape with a touch of concealer.
A great trick [for making lipstick stay on for longer] is by exfoliating lips, then applying your lipstick and blotting a bit. On top of that I like to seal it with the New Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain. That will guarantee a very long, beautiful wear. Also dust over translucent powder with a matte texture, which helps with staying power a lot.
If you have a lot of red in your skin, avoid blue shades, choose more orange or brick shades. For olive to dark skin you have a lot of options, either blue or orange lipstick under tones will work very well.
A golden swept across cheek will compliment bold lips.
I love a smudgey greyish eye teamed with the new Revlon CustomEyes Mascara and a bit of leftover black eyeliner too, it’s so rock ‘n’ roll.
