Make no mistake that 2014 is most certainly the year of Queen Bey!
After days of will she, won’t she speculation revolving around a possible performance at yesterday’s Grammy Awards show, Beyonce did in fact open the show with a saucy performance of her hit new track, ‘Drunk In Love’.
The singer, who shocked the world by releasing a surprise self-titled album with virtually no fanfare last December, kicked off the show, and with her back to the audience, worked a chair to perfection wearing a revealing black leotard, before being joined on stage by her husband Jay Z. The usually private couple barely noticed there was anyone else in the room as the two only had eyes for each other while the likes of Taylor Swift and Robin Thicke looked on, transfixed by their performance.
The performance wasn’t the only high point for the couple, Jay Z’s recent album Magna Carta…Holy Grail scooped up an award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, with the rapper dedicating the gramophone to his two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
