Superstar singer Beyoncé Knowles has landed a leading role in a new animated film by 20th Century Fox called ‘Epic’ at tale about a teenage girl who is transported into another universe which she has to save in order to then save planet Earth.
The new film will be the singer’s first animated film role as well as her first attempt at voice acting. The Dreamgirl’s star will take on the role of Queen Tara alongside other stars from the music world including Pitbull and Steven Tyler. This won’t be the star’s only bit of movie action this year as she is set to appear in Clint Eastwood’s ‘A Star Is Born’ the revival of the story of a classic musician who falls in love with the younger singer he is meant to be mentoring. Filming stalled last year due to Beyonce’s pregnancy but she’s expected to work on the film alongside Tom Cruise.
