After it was announced last month that there would be a Black Panther movie after success in featuring in Captain America: Civil War; it was to safe to say black movie goers, nerds and thrill seekers were jubilant. An all-time marvel favourite T’challa aka Black Panther is played by Chadwick Boseman, and will featuring a star-studded filled cast including Oscar-winner Lupita N’yongo, Creed star Michael B Jordan and The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira and directed by Ryan Coogler.
For the first time ever the cast came together for a panel and spoke about the upcoming project which is set to release some time in 2018. With controversy surrounding Hollywood blockbusters not being diverse enough and the #oscarssowhite earlier this year, we’re glad to see some positive changes in the industry, with an all round black-lead cast and director. Is it too early to pre-book tickets and grab popcorn?
