As the US version of TV talent show The Voice hosted it’s fifth and final battle round, mentor Cee-Lo Green broke down in tears no less than three times! Despite remaining relatively calm and collected throughout the rest of the series, Green struggled to hold back the tears as he gave feedback to the remaining contestants.
The singer who, ironically, released his ‘Cry Baby’ single last year, choked on his words whilst speaking to contestants Tony Vincent and Justin Hopkins, saying that he was “in awe” of them. He was also seen getting a serious case of the sniffles as contestants James Massone and Wade rehearsed their cover of the Cyndi Lauper classic, ‘True Colours’ admitting that he was humbled by their outstanding performance. Green then went on to shed a few more tears as he was forced to choose the better singer out of the two, finally settling on Boston-born Massone. Somebody get the man a hankie!
