According to gossip spreading like wildfire online: yes. R&B diva Beyonce revealed that she was expecting her first child at the MTV Video Music Awards last month, but latest reports have threatened to steal her thunder.
It’s been claimed that the singer’s 41-year-old rapper husband fathered a boy nine years ago with Trinidadian model Shenelle Scott. Apparently paternity tests done at the time of the birth proved Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter) to be the boy’s father. Keen not to be labelled a deadbeat dad, it’s said the rapper has provided for the child, takes an active interest in his life and regularly pays child support to the boy’s mother. Jay’s wife, Beyonce is said to have been aware of the child and has come to accept him despite being furious at first.
As yet, no representative for Jay-Z has been reached.
