This year’s Film Africa event opens on November 3rd and will feature 10 days of more than 50 of the best African fiction and documentary films from across the continent.
With lively Q&As and panel discussions featuring leading African filmmakers, some of the highlights of the dynamic celebration include:
- A special focus on African women filmmakers
- 20 filmmakers and actors in attendance
- The Distribution Forum and The Silver Baobab Award for Best Short African Film
- Film Africa LIVE! with performances from some of London’s most exciting musicians and DJs
The event, which will be held at cinemas across London opens on 3rd November 2011 with the film, ‘Microphone’ by Egyptian actor, director and human rights activist, Khaled Abol Naga.
