Singer, songwriter and producer Frank Ocean is arguably one of 2011’s most promising breakthrough talents, (seriously, if you haven’t heard ‘Nostalgia, Ultra’ by now WHERE have you been?!) something it seems the man himself is well aware of.
His and fellow Odd Future member Tyler, The Creator’s beef with R&B singer Chris Brown is well documented by now but the singer has chosen to draw a line under those petty Twitter squabbles and focus his attentions elsewhere.
Speaking on his new outlook and his relationship with other members of the Odd Future clan, he said: “We’re like a crew of a bunch of different artists who create their own thing and their own wave. It’s a crew, but it’s not like a boy band where we’re like this cohesive thing that moves and does everything together. I definitely won’t go on the record and say that I latch on to every beef or confrontation or scuffle that Tyler gets into, maybe in the streets, but not in the matrix or the Internet. I can’t keep up with that.”
And there you have it.
