Amber is an American actress and singer best known for her role as ‘Mercedes Jones’ in the hit television musical comedy Glee and has appeared in numerous theatre productions such as The Wiz, Alice in Wonderland, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Into the Woods.
Amber expressed how excited she is to play such an iconic role and adds: “Working on the West End is now a dream realised, I just feel like this is going to be something special!”
Dreamgirls will be directed and choreographed by Oliver and Tony-Award winning Casey Nicholaw.
The 2006 film which starred Beyonce, told the story of a young female singing trio, from Chicago, as they learn the hard lesson that show business is as tough as it is fabulous, featuring the classic songs ‘And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going’, ‘I Am Changing’ and ‘One Night Only’.
