Janet Jackson has unveiled the video for ‘No Sleeep’, the first single taken from her forthcoming eleventh studio album ‘Unbreakable’.
Janet’s new album will be accompanied by a world tour, which she will begin at the end of this month. ‘Unbreakable’ will be her first studio album in seven years.
The album version of the sultry R&B track features J. Cole, one 2015’s most prominent Hip Hop artists. He adds a nice touch. The music video is everything we love about Janet. She dances around her fabulous house while singing the song, looking amazing as ever at 49. She misses her lover and insists that when they are reunited, they’ll get no sleep.
The video is simple yet effective. You’ll want to stop what you’re doing and get lost in the groove with Janet.
In one scene she dances in front of a large photo of her and her father and later we see another photo of Janet as a little girl.
‘No Sleeep’ was number 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B chart last week, but now The Weeknd’s ‘Earned It’ has taken the top spot this week while she is currently at number 2. Janet has proven she still has it and her comeback is a worthy one!
