Love Island has been keeping us on our toes and glued to our TV screens since the new season started nearly two weeks ago – and the tea is getting real hot!
With the elimination pending this evening (Friday), as couple Samira and Alex go up against Charlie and Hayley, for one contestant in particular, the possibility of exiting the show is least of their worries…

Prior to her televised search for love, Samira Mighty made her living as a West End performer, and was part of the Dreamgirls cast at London’s Savoy Theatre. However, she’s reportedly being sued by the production company, and if eliminated tonight, stands to fork out a few grand on her way out of the villa. YIKES!
Sources from The Sun state that Samira gave only one day’s notice to the production about her decision to quit and jet off to sunny Mallorca in search of love. Talk about following your heart!
Her former West End employer and Sonia Friedman Productions are taking legal action to claim £3,000 in compensation for her hasty leave.
An anonymous source told the tabloid, ‘She won’t walk into a job any time soon. Her name is mud and her behaviour totally unprofessional.’
Samira’s success as a musical theatre star is demonstrated by her number of roles in previous West End shows (including Mamma Mia!) as well as a part in the 2017 Beauty and the Beast film remake.
However, after making headlines the actress’ reputation is sure to cast a degree of doubt within the world of theatre…

But in regards to Love Island, Samira has racked up the Instagram followers and is becoming a favourite among fans on the show, so in that sense her public image is booming! Samira’s theatre experience illustrates her talent and she is sure to have a list of brand deal opportunities and sponsorship’s waiting for her, even if her status as an actress steers towards a dead end.
We wish her and Alex good luck on tonight’s show – although it’s likely she doesn’t need it, as beloved fans have shown their support for the couple on Twitter, vowing to keep them in the show:
AS A NATION. AS A COUNTRY. AS A FAMILY. WE WILL STAND TOGETHER AND WE WILL SAVE SAMIRA AND ALEX SO THAT THESE 2 BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE CAN FIND TRUE LOVE IN THIS VILLA! #loveisland @LoveIsland #SAVEALEXANDSAMIRA

Defo voting to save Samira and Alex because Hayley needs to go and I’m sorry but Charlie has to be collateral damage #LoveIsland

If Samira and Alex stay tomorrow night then I feel like the UK will have redeemed itself for the whole brexit situation #loveisland
