It’s official: Lupita Nyong’o is the new face of Lancôme!
After whipping the whole world into a frenzy over her flawless skin and stunning good looks, it was only a matter of time before Oscar winning actress and Hollywood darling Lupita Nyong’o bagged herself a beauty contract. The 31-year-old star of 12 Years a Slave announced that she would be joining fellow actresses like Julia Roberts, Lily Collins, Penélope Cruz and Kate Winslet as an ambassador for the Parisian cosmetics giant –this in addition to her role as one of the faces of fashion house Miu Miu.
Speaking proudly about her new appointment, Nyong’o said: “I am truly honoured to join the Maison Lancôme, a brand with such a prestigious history and that I have always loved. I am particularly proud to represent its unique vision for women and the idea that beauty should not be dictated, but should instead be an expression of a woman’s freedom to be herself.”
