One person who is undoubtedly kicking off 2014 on a high is none other than celebrity make-up artist Pat McGrath.
British-born McGrath who has contoured and sculpted the faces of just about every celebrity imaginable and has had her work featured in a plethora of high fashion glossies, was named as one of those to be bestowed with an MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) as part of the Queen’s New Year’s honours for her contributions to the fashion and beauty industries.
One of the most respected make-up artists in her field and current design director at Procter and Gamble beauty, Pat got her start trailing around after her Jamaican mother while trying to find make-up to suit their darker skin tones. With 43 Vogue covers under her belt and a roster of clients that has included Madonna and Scarlett Johansson, there’s no doubt this honour is truly deserved.
