Man confesses to ’94 Tupac shooting

Although one of hip-hop’s greatest mysteries- who killed Biggie and Tupac, still remains unsolved, a man has come forward and admitted he was responsible for the non-fatal shooting of rapper Tupac Shakur in 1994.

The hitman, Dexter Isaac, claims he was paid $2,500 by hip-hop manager Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond to rob and injure Shakur back in 1994. The Manhattan shooting would set in motion a chain of events and reprisals, intensifying the West Coast- East Coast rivalry and resulting ultimately, in the death of two hip-hop heavyweights in Tupac and Notorious B.I.G.

Dexter Issac, who has spent the last decade in jail over a variety of offences says he came forward to give closure to the families of both Shakur and Biggie and to hit back against claims by Jimmy Rosemond (who has since gone on the run) that his involvement was simply down to personal vendettas. Isaac said: “I would like to give their mothers some closure. It’s about time that someone did, and I will do so at a different time. Jimmy, you and Puffy like to come off all innocent-like, but as the saying goes: you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.”

Today would have been Tupac Shakur’s 40th birthday.
