What. A. Time. To. Be. Alive. Not at all your everyday collaboration but it’s one you’ll want to bop to, we certainly can’t stop listening to it. If you don’t already, you’re bound to love this one- multi-talented Idris being on a track for the first time in a while with some big time artists is not one you want to miss. It’s one we don’t have to say much about… just take a listen.

Trouble – Spice, Destra Garcia

Want it to be summer already? If like us, you do, the video to this song will make you long for the beach, some pina coladas and the hot summer sun even more. The carnival vibes to the song are already unreal without the video but when you include the vibrant colours and costumes it’s almost as if you’re sent into the energetic jouvert march. From start to finish it will have you bopping and no matter how hard you try you won’t be able to hold yourself down.

Don’t Cry – Lil Wayne ft. XXXTENTACTION

The long-awaited video for this song has finally come out for the tribute to the late XXXTENTACION. Ironically it’s supposed to be an emotional but moving song to tell people not to cry for Triple X but after reading some reviews of the song people are bawling and I don’t blame them because this is one to have your tissues ready for. The song is good but I have to admit the video has a sinister vibe to it.

Middle Child – J. Cole

There are some powerful lyrics on this one. J. Cole raps about feeling like he’s the ‘middle child’ in the rap industry’s generations. He clearly sees himself as being a part of two quite different eras in the hip-hop movement and powerfully delivers lyrics that clearly mean a lot. This song smokes out a lot of other artists and refers to things that people have done for fame and money. ‘I hope you know money won’t erase the pain’ J. Cole wants to be clear to us and whoever he’s talking about that he is not and will never be one of those people, so listen up. We’re excited to see what might come next and whether a video will follow.

Throne – Koffee

If you’ve never heard of Koffee, you will very soon. This up-and-coming artist is becoming a real hit in the UK. This new video shows Koffee travelling through her homeland, Jamaica. Most of Koffee’s music sends a message and this one does too. It’s a song that you can interpret in a few ways but she definitely addresses the violence issues in Jamaica. This follows her hit song ‘toast’ that soared in the iTunes Reggae charts UK. It’s about being thankful for the blessings you have in life. If you like reggae she’s really been making a splash recently performing with Chronixx, going to gigs and being a guest multiple times on Radio 1Xtra. This ‘sing-jay-guitarist’ may be 18 years old but i’d like to guess her soul is about 180 years old.
