Top model Noémie Lenoir was found unconscious after a failed suicide attempt in Paris earlier this month. The French model, who became a household name after starring in numerous M&S adverts, was found slumped in the woods outside the home of her ex-boyfriend, former Chelsea midfielder Claude Makélélé. An unidentified man discovered her on the ground and immediately called the emergency services, who found a lethal combination of alcohol and drugs in her system. “She tried to commit suicide as a cry for help, but she’s now in a far better condition and recovering,” a source close to the model stated. Noémie and Claude, who have a five-year-old son, Kelyan, have had a tumultuous relationship since they started dating in 2003. The popular footballer was frequently linked to other women, and the pair split in 2009. Our thoughts go out to Noémie and her family at this distressing time, and we wish her a speedy recovery.
