There are many reasons why women suffer from hyperpigmentation such as acne, lazer surgery, pregnancy or oral contraceptive use. Since black skin pigment easily this skin type is more prone to scaring and hyperpigmentation. 3) Skip Super Hot Showers
Those lovely long hot showers you like in the morning and/or evening may feel amazing after a long day but it’s drying the hell out of your skin in the process. Try decreasing your water temperature to lukewarm. Also always use a creamy moisturizing shower gel or cleansing bars to ensure skin remains hydrated.
4) Think Skin Type Not Skin Colour
While black skin has it’s difference to Caucasians – your day-to-day regime should actually be dictated more by skin type than your colour. Dry skin, oily skin, sensitive, acne, clogged pores and eczema all share the same concerns and require similar products.
5) Stress Less
Feeling stressed is another major factor in lacklustre and misbehaving skin. This is because stress causes your body to produce cortisol and other hormones that tells your sebaceous glands to produce more oil which means more breakouts. Also skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema are also worsened by being feeling stressed.
6) Use Mineralize Make Up
Skin that is allowed to breath regularly will always look better then those constantly languishing under a layer of make up.
