R. Kelly has given you all an early christmas treat with the release of his 13th studio album The Buffet – but to your surprise it’s actually not about food; it’s a cheeky metaphor for the album’s very sensual production.
The R’n’B singer has dropped a few songs from the album on VEVO including Let’s Be Real featuring Tinashe and Lets Make Some Noise featuring Jhene Aiko. R. Kelly is definitely trying to stay current as along with these top singers the track list shows a list of guest appearances, such as Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Wayne and Jeremih.
Releasing a few previews will certainly give fans a taster of what to expect from the album, but will it be enough for them to want to buy it? It seems like R. Kelly isn’t too sure either, as he uploaded a video on Facebook 2 days ago discussing the lack of support that he is getting from the black community. He said: “The majority of my music is sold to my people. The black culture. We have to support each other.”
Will this rant be enough or does R. Kelly just have to come to terms with the fact that he has a lot less fans than he used to?
