Rapper, actor…author? Fiddy pens anti-bullying book

Known to the US government as Curtis Jackson, American rapper 50 Cent has turned his hand to literary world. In the most surprising move since debuting his new jheri curl hairstyle, the rapper aims to write a novel that will have a positive influence on teens.

The book, entitled ‘Playground’ charts the adventures of a 13-year-old bully who decides to mend his ways after seeing how his actions have affected others. On his motivation for writing the book, 50 said: “I had a strong desire to write Playground because I wanted to explore how a kid becomes a bully. I drew on events from my own childhood and adolescence, but was excited to see the story take on its own life. This book would have been very helpful for me growing up and now that I have a teenage son, it is my goal that this will have a positive influence on all teenagers.”

The book will be published by Penguin Young Readers group and released in early 2012.
