Everybody’s favourite island girl Rihanna, is always ready to rep her Bajan roots-something that hasn’t gone unnoticed by her home country. Keen to reward the ‘Man Down’ singer for her frequent shout outs, (and let’s face it, make a little money in the process) the Barbados Tourism Authority has officially named Rihanna as an ambassador for Barbados tourism for the next three years.
Rihanna, speaking about her latest honour, said: “Barbados is a place like no other and one of the reasons for this is the spirit and national pride of our people. I want each and every visitor to this beautiful island to experience what makes this destination different from all others and that is the spirit and warmth of my fellow Barbadians.”
To mark the occasion there will be a full-length concert of her ‘Loud’ Tour in Bridgetown, Barbados later this year on August 5th.
