It’s sad but true, Kanye has been on the edge for some time.
The time span can be measured from the 180 degrees he has spun round from being the Katrina hero who declared that ‘President Bush does not care about black people’, to now hero worshipping the most overtly racist President in recent history.
The papers seem to love focusing on whether Kanye is going to run himself for the Oval Office as if that really ever was an option. No doubt they are hoping for more melt down moments like on July 19th when amongst many things he claimed his brain was too big for his skull. And yes we probably did snigger at the ‘Get Out’ comments, lets not be hypocrites, it was funny, albeit for all the wrong reasons.
We at Pride just hope he gets the help he needs quickly. Bipolar disorder should not become a freak show for the masses. And watching him dismantle his legacy as an extremely talented artist and social advocate is heart breaking.
We need and want the old Kanye back minus the MAGA cap.
