Schools face more cuts backs

Headteachers have condemned Education Secretary Michael Gove actions on axing the rebuild of 170 run down schools in London. Gove has halted Labour’s Building Schools for the Future programme claiming it would have been “irresponsible” to carry on with the program in light of the public finances situation. Teacher’s have claimed that children could be left to be in “Dickensian” conditions in which could have affects on the construction industry as the cuts back face them too. Some worst areas to be hit were Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Wandsworth. Has your child’s school been hit by these cut backs? Let us know your thoughts by commenting below.
