Skepta’s new track stolen by Eminem? Shady…

Skepta recently ran into some bad luck when his latest track ‘Dare To Dream’ was removed from YouTube due to “copyright issues.” The Tottenham rapper got the surprise of his life (not in a good way) when he discovered that not only was there no copyright issue, but the song was actually taken down because Eminem wanted it!
The track debuted on BBC’s 1Xtra radio station last week on Mister Jam’s show. Following the show, the track was posted online but removed faster than you can say ‘Boy better know.’ Apparently, Jimmy Iovine-the boss of Eminem’s label Interscope Records, loved the song so much that he demanded YouTube take it down because he thought Eminem would sound amazing on it.
Don’t feel too sorry for Skepta though, he was allegedly offered heaps of cash for the song and didn’t seem to angry at the situation. In a series of tweets he said: “Jimmy Iovine Interscope heard my new single ‘Dare To Dream’ and decided he wanted to sign it for Eminem hence Universal takin it off YouTube”, he added: ” overly love the song but at the same time I do understand Eminem together with the ‘Dare To Dream’ chorus will be absolutely f*%king CRAZY”.
Should Skepta keep the track? Or are you excited to hear Eminem’s version?
