So after a 12 year old black boy who was playing with a toy gun in the safety of his living room, finds his home being stormed by a police armed response team and his family found themselves with red laser beams on all the childrens’ heads (there were also his two young sisters in the property) as well as mother Alice Agyepong, what does one of the very few black ministers have to say.
Well the consevative Equalities minister, Kemi Badenoch, blames the family for speaking ill of the police.
She told radio 4 , “I don’t think we should be using this sort of language where people feel unarmed police officers try to kill people on the streets. We’re hearing a lot of this rhetoric that is simply not true.
“We should not be trying to inflame tensions in this way by talking about police killing people when this is certainly not true.”
Told by the presenter that the police were armed, she said: “Oh right, I wasn’t aware of that.”
The entire black community is talking about this case and the only black person representing us in the government does not even know what happened, but still blames the black family.
Shameful!
