Evening telly on New Year’s Day will be taken over between 6:30 and 7pm by one of the longest adverts in British television. Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon will front Weight Watchers £154 million, 3 minute, 10 second long ‘song campaign’ which will be broadcast on nearly every commercial channel, including Channel 4 and ITV.
What a guilt trip! Maybe this will be the kick we need to get off the sofa and start our New Year’s Resolutions!
