The London Feminist Film Festival has announced the full programme for its 4th edition at the Rio Cinema in Dalston from 18 to 21 August.
Due to the increase of conservatism and right-wing political agenda against women in recent years, many women across the world are having to join the fight; opposing the bigotry and discrimination they already fought so hard against. In the 2016 edition of London Feminist Film Festival, a special 25th anniversary screening of Pratibha Parmar’s ‘A Place of Rage’ will be shown, her award winning documentary which celebrates African American women and all their achievements during the civil rights movement, black power and feminist movements.
With many other great screenings from women all around the world, the festival will continue to highlight the importance of the female narrative in film. In addition, provide a space to celebrate, inspire, discuss and talk with the filmmakers about their vast experiences in the film industry.
