Tinchy Stryder & Dionne Bromfield record 2010 Olympics song

Grime-Pop star Tinchy Stryder and Amy Winehouse’s goddaughter, Dionne Bromfield were chosen of perform the official anthem of the 2012 Olympics. The selection is quite an honour for Tinchy, but more so for the young Bromfield who’s a relative newcomer to the music scene. The two will combine forces to rework Mercury prize winner Speech Debelle’s ‘Spinnin’ and have renamed the track ‘Spinnin For 2012″- how original!

However, it’s not all fun and patriotism. There might be a sneaky ulterior motive in there somewhere, particularly for Tinchy Stryder. The ‘Spaceship’ rapper said: “I didn’t get any tickets in the end, like loads of other people. I tried but had no luck. I’m hoping that this song will get us a few though. I must be in with a chance. I’m desperate to see some of the events. It will be massive. I’d love to watch the men’s 100 metre final.”

What do you think about the appointment? Will the collaboration be any good?
