Celebrities around the world have paid tribute to US actor Bill Nunn who passed away over the weekend.
The Hollywood actor was best known for his role as Radio Raheem in Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing.
The actor had a career that spanned over 30 years, he featured in Spider-Man, New Jack City, Money Train and Sister Act alongside Whoopi Goldberg.
More recently he worked on US TV series Sirens.
Director Spike Lee paid a touching tribute to the actor on instagram.
Stating: “My Dear Friend, My Dear Morehouse Brother-Da Great Actor Bill Nunn As Most Of You Know Him As Radio Raheem Passes Away This Morning In His Hometown Of Pittsburgh.”
“Long Live Bill NUNN, RADIO RAHEEM Is Now RESTING IN POWER. RADIO RAHEEM WILL ALWAYS BE FIGHTING DA POWERS DAT BE.”
He concluded his tribute by adding: MAY GOD WATCH OVER BILL NUNN.”
Tributes have also come in from actress Sherri Shepherd, Rappers Questlove and Talib Kweli and actors Terry Crews and Chris Rock.
Bill Nunn was 62 and is survived by his wife and two children.
