On Wednesday WGN America released the trailer for the thriller drama Underground, executive- produced by John Legend.
The 10 episode series is about the lives of men and women who have escaped from slavery as they journey 600 miles from the Georgian plantation.
“Underground depicts a raw and revolutionary chapter in the American story. We wanted an artist who could help us find the light through the darkness, and John Legend was a perfect fit,” said Misha Green and Joe Pokaski (writers of Heroes.)
The show will feature some familiar faces with actors Jussie Smollett (Empire), Jurnee Smollett-Bell (True Blood), Aldis Hodge (Straight Outta Compton), Adina Porter (The 100), Aldis Hodge (Straight Outta Compton) and many more.
