Rwanda is holding its second presidential election since 1994 genocide and voters queued up from dawn to cast their ballot. At present Paul Kagame is set to win by a landslide. The election has caused some criticism as some human rights groups claim the government has repressed critics. Mr Kagame has been in power since 2000 since his Rwandan Patriotic Front ended the slaughter of 800,000 people.

Kagame celebrated an overwhelming election victory by dancing with thousands of supporters early Tuesday, after opposition parties were banned from the vote and some Rwandans said they were forced to cast ballots for him.
