Viral sensation Willow Smith has said that she wants to be like famous “like her mommy and daddy.” In a recent interview with AP she states that she wants everyone “to be individuals and do what they think is good and just be themselves.” This 9-year-old star has literally become an overnight sensation and with her inspirational approach she’s sure to make her make on the industry.
Willow has already starred in I Am Legend as the daughter of her father’s character, however she’s been more influenced by her parents musical careers:
“I would go on tour with them and watch them and I’d be like, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s what I wanna do.’ I wanted to make a difference now, [and] because I wanted to be big and famous like my mommy and daddy and help people.”
There is definitely more to come from this young star as she’s signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. I just hope they take the time to develop her as an artist, rather than pushing her out and then she fades into the abyss.
