X Factor contestant Kitty Brucknell is embroiled in a race row after a remark she allegedly said to The Risk’s Derry Mensah ‘You evil black b*****d, f*** you Derry” when Derry asked Kitty to move from a sofa in a rehearsal room.
Kitty has apparently now written an apology letter to Derry and blamed the outburst on exhaustion from rehearsals saying she didn’t know what she was saying.
According to The Sun Kitty did not apologise face-to-face because Derry didn’t want to speak to her for obvious reasons. In her letter, she said how sorry she was and that due to lack of sleep she might have said something offensive – but she wasn’t sure because she was so tired and told Derry she was really sorry for the argument and wants to be friends.
Another singer who saw what happened complained to a member of the X Factor production staff and Brucknell was questioned over the incident and the producers gave Kitty a serious talking to.
A show spokesperson said there was an argument that was looked into by production and the matter was resolved but fans of the show have slammed the decision to keep her in.
